Sami Poole – Centre Manager
With over 17 years in the watersports industry and a passion for development he helps plot the ships course.
He is a multi-award-winning coach, holds several prestigious appointments from governing bodies, works with all programmes we offer and if you can’t find him either follow the noise or look for a man in a Pikachu onesie.
Karen Leslie – Office Manager
Started day one with the company previously employed by Edinburgh Leisure sailing school.
Her insight and knowledge within her role come from her passion for her local community to thrive.
She is not only the helpful voice at the end of the phone for customers but the engineer that keeps all the ships moving parts in good condition

Roisin Fleming – Volunteer Coordinator
Due to the pandemic Roisin returned to the UK from working overseas. Since then, she has carved out an integral role within the centre and its operations.
Ever striving for equality and inclusion she approaches everything with this mind set. Vibrant, intelligent and an OK sense of humour, she drives the heart of our volunteer program and makes sure that our boat is balanced correctly to prevent us capsizing.
Gavin Dunlop – Chief Instructor
Joined the team in 2022 after spending over 10 years as second in command of a watersports company Wild Diamond based on Tiree.
Talented, driven and eternally focused he has gained more new watersports qualifications, in multiple new disciplines, in 6 months than most would in 5 years, all the while maintaining a clothing business called Split Peak.
He oversees the ships maintenance as well as the keep of a high-quality crew.

Stewart Atkinson – Head of Paddle
Starting in a consulting role for us in 2021 and then joining the team in 2022 he has reinvigorated and revamped our paddlesports programme.
As well as working for us he has since set up is own business Outdoor Classrooms.
He provides secondary propulsion to the ship.
Regardless of what creek you may be up he will be there with his paddle in hand and his head of public relations “Murphy” also pictured to help out.
